The other night, my camera lens reminded me what a gift it is to get to spend so much time in one place.
To get to watch a trio of sunflowers grow twice my size in a matter of weeks.
To watch the sun change its angle over the days of spring into summer and soon, into fall.
To notice how many shooting stars there are, if you stare at the night sky long enough.
To be wrapped in the changing colors of this wild place, day after day after day.
Through the viewfinder, I thanked the light and the shadows and gift of time.
