Organization Profiles
An organization profile is a document that provides a concise overview of an organization’s identity, strategic context, and operating environment. It includes information such as mission, vision, values, goals, and structure.
Example: CREATE! is an incredible international nonprofit organization that works with populations in rural Senegal to help them cope with water, food, and fuel shortages resulting from the impacts of climate change on their communities. The challenge for this project was to create a colorful, visual magazine-style booklet that would encompass the heart of CREATE!‘s mission as an organization, and concisely explain the breadth of their programs across rural Senegal. Using the organization’s visual branding as a starting point, I drew upon elements of Senegalese culture and aesthetics to create the border artwork and design elements that brought this document to life.
Program Guides
A program guide is a vital resource for audiences attending events such as film festivals, concerts, performing arts events, and conferences. A well-designed one helps attendees easily find your event schedule, identify keynote speakers or program highlights, and shine a spotlight on your sponsors.
Example: DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon is the premier Asian American film festival in the state, featuring indie films made for, by, and about Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. The program guides I designed for the organization each year highlight each over their 100+ films, the program schedule, financial sponsors, and other key information to help audiences plan their weekend at the festival.
Annual Reports
An annual report is a comprehensive document that a company issues each year to summarize its financial performance, operations, and achievements. A well-designed annual report can be an invaluable tool for not only documenting an organization’s accomplishments each year, but also a fantastic tool for marketing and communications to internal and external audiences.

Visitor’s Guides
A visitor’s guide is a vital tool for helping people learn about a place, things to do there, history, and resources. A well-designed visitor’s guide captures the imagination and inspires readers to dig deeper, explore further, and share their experiences with others.
Example: Bering Land Bridge National Preserve is one of the most remote national park units in the country that few people ever have the chance to visit. My challenge was to create a online visitor’s guide, meeting strict National Park Service design standards, which would allow people around the world to virtually explore the preserve. To create the publication, I documented the local cultural and natural history of the preserve by traveling through the remote backcountry, and interviewing locals in Alaska Native villages that surround the public land. This unique project served to bring the preserve to a wider audience, by making it accessible and available online and in multiple formats. At the same time, it also celebrated and honored the local uses and history of the preserve by the surrounding Alaska Native communities, bringing together cultural traditions supported by the continued protection of the land for future generations.
